Welcome to Shared Services & Outsourcing Week Australasia 2013

“Creating the Intelligent Enterprise”

The nature of business is changing.

Working in an ultra-connected, highly competitive yet economically volatile environment is altering the way we approach operational excellence.

Cost savings, whilst still a strong driving force in business transformation, are being balanced with the need to harness disruptive technologies such as social media and big data, and new approaches to partnering such as smart sourcing, to create a truly agile and efficient operational framework able to flex with our rapidly growing region.

Enter the Intelligent Enterprise.

An Intelligent Enterprise is defined as one which can create global effect, has the organisational ability to drive innovation, is always able to connect to all its stakeholders and is prepared to adapt to a constantly changing environment.

In short, it’s every CEO’s dream.

But in reality, as an SSO executive, how can you structure for continuous improvement and innovation and become a forward looking, forward thinking organisation?

In 2013, SSO Week Australasia will examine the 4 pillars of the Intelligent Enterprise and provide you with real life case studies and executable strategies to ensure your SSO stays ahead of game.

What’s New for 2013?

  • Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Summit: In recognition of the growing importance of Smart Sourcing & Procurement within SSO success, we have introduced a half-day interactive Summit within SSO Week to help bridge the gap between procurement, finance, suppliers and the core business.
  • Close & Comfortable: This year, in response to your requests, we have returned to a more intimate hotel setting with an adjoining plenary and exhibition room for maximum networking opportunities and have shortened the conference days to allow further networking activities, including a Structured Industry Vertical Networking Grand Finale Lunch on Day 3.
  • C-Suite Presence: The CFO & CIO Forums have been better integrated into the main program to encourage even more strategic discussions. We will also see an increased representation of C-Suite on the speaker faculty.

Get Involved!

SSO Week 2013 will build on the growing interest in advanced analytics and Big Data, as well as once again delving into talent management, end to end process delivery, innovative structuring and gain-sharing partnering.

We would like your input!

To contribute your thoughts and ideas to the topics we will explore next year, please get in touch: Natalie.williams@ssonetwork.com

Just a quick note to say thank you for the invitation to the SSO week. It was great and I met quite a number of delegates. I was also able to talk to the various sponsors and have already made appointments with a couple. Sanjay Chudgar, Controller - Finance, Weir Minerals Australia
The conference was excellent. I really enjoyed it. I had been to one years ago and was blown away at just how many organisations have advanced so much. Great networking opportunities too. Liz Woods, Director - Business Strategy Organisational Capability, Shared Service Agency
I wanted to pass on my congratulations to you for organising such a successful conference. I think everyone walked away with something they learnt – I certainly did. We have since held our ASSA Board Meeting last week and we were very pleased to have been invited to participate by the SSON. Charles Reis, General Manager Shared Business Services, MMG Minerals & Metals Group
Glad to have participated in the event that was so well organized and attended. Everything seemed to have moved like clock work! Noel Paraso, VP Service Centre Network and Manila Centre Finance Lead, Shell Shared Service Centre
The leads generated from the conference have turned into meetings and I cannot express how pleased I was with the delivery of the conference from IQPC and the calibre and level of engagement from the delegates at the SSON conference. Once again, IQPC provided a conference where our expectations were exceeded and ROI was achieved. Rebecca Trude, Business Development Manager -Asia Pacific, Frontline Placement Technologies
It was indeed an interesting event with significant learning, deliberation and introduction to some very thought provoking individuals. Thanks for an excellent event. Raja Venkateswar, Head - Sales, Marketing & M&A, Xchanging
...I don't think I would have derived the same value from a webinar or sitting at my desk. (I'm a notorious multi-tasker when doing things like that.) Overall, it's been great and I look forward to future sessions. Tom Perkins, Purchasing Director, Schneider Electric
The SSON event in Champions Gate, Florida in March of 2010 was a great event. As a speaker, I found the event team to be very responsive and provided great direction. They had a keen awareness of what their audience wanted to see at the event and shared their insight well in advance. As a participant, I really enjoyed the sessions and the opportunity to network with colleagues from companies across varying industries. I’ve already started building relationships with those I met as we share ideas and visions, and lessons learned. I highly recommend the event. Paige Cox, Executive Director of Human Resources, Constellation Energy
The interactions with other shared services executives and practitioners in a discussion panel forum with expert facilitators, is an invaluable experience. Paul Fipps, CIO, Charmer Sunbelt Group
